Hello!
I am a freelance editor, collaborator, and writer with more than fifteen years of experience in the publishing industry, including over a decade as a nonfiction editor at Penguin Random House. I’ve acquired, edited, and cowritten books in the categories of personal growth, inspiration, psychology, science, health, relationships, business, education, social justice, and memoir.
Writing a book is deeply personal, meaningful, and often intimidating work. It brings me great joy to serve as a thought partner, coach, editor, and collaborator to help authors crystallize years of experience into a message that captures their voice, insight, and passion and connects with their audience. I work with authors at every stage of the process—helping them transform the seed of an idea into a fully formed book proposal, getting knee-deep in writing and shaping a manuscript, and fine-tuning and polishing a near-final draft so that it’s true to the author’s vision and accessible to readers.
One of my favorite aspects of this job is learning from authors from all walks of life and helping them translate their wisdom and experience onto the page. I’ve worked with psychologists, ministers/theologians, entrepreneurs, professors across disciplines, parents, lawyers, actors, artists, journalists, a cattle rancher, and a mayor. Whatever an author’s background, I bring to their work a deep curiosity and care, a steady partnership and collaborative spirit, and expertise gleaned from over a decade at a premier publishing house.
